If you want to have a meaningful impact do the best work of your career and grow a lot both professionally and personally come join our team Position Summary ultra focused – Work together to fearlessly uncover new possibilities As a direct extension of the General Manager you will be embedded at the heart of the France & Benelux cluster and exposed to the full spectrum of a rare disease affiliate's activities. This internship is designed for a high-potential candidate looking to gain hands-on experience in pharmaceutical strategy market access and cross-functional operations in a dynamic and fast-growing environment. You will work closely with the GM and interact with commercial medical and market access teams across France Belgium and the Netherlands. Work Model Flex This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week or more depending on business needs. In many locations the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite. Responsibilities Support the GM in developing and tracking the cluster's strategic priorities and annual operating plan Monitor KPIs and commercial performance dashboards synthesize insights for leadership reviews Prepare executive-level presentations and briefing documents for internal and regional stakeholders Contribute to competitive intelligence and market landscape analysis across the cluster's therapeutic areas Support market access activities including HAS/CEPS dossier tracking and reimbursement milestones in France Monitor Belgian and Dutch pricing & reimbursement developments (INAMI/NIHDI ZIN/RIZIV) and assess cross-border implications Analyze rare disease policy developments and assess their impact on Ultragenyx's portfolio and pipeline Liaise with market access teams to support named patient programs and early access frameworks (ATU/AAP compassionate use) Coordinate cross-functional alignment between Medical Affairs Marketing and Market Access teams Support the preparation and follow-up of medical and scientific congress activities across the cluster Assist in coordinating key opinion leader (KOL) engagement initiatives and advisory board logistics Contribute to internal medical communication materials and scientific briefings Facilitate cluster-level meetings prepare agendas take minutes and ensure action item follow-up Support the onboarding and integration of new team members or organizational changes Lead or contribute to ad hoc strategic or operational projects as defined by the GM Requirements Final year of a Grande École (business or engineering) Master's program or equivalent — ideally with a specialization in life sciences healthcare management or strategy Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear actionable outputs Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English (mandatory) High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel ability to build compelling presentations and structured analyses Intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in rare diseases and the pharmaceutical ecosystem Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously with rigor and autonomy Proactive detail-oriented and comfortable operating in a lean high-accountability environment Prior internship experience in pharma biotech consulting or market access (appreciated but not required) Familiarity with French pharmaceutical regulation (HAS CEPS Ondam) or rare disease landscape (appreciated but not required) #LI-AJ1 #LI-Hybrid Full Time employees across the globe enjoy a range of benefits including but not limited to · Generous vacation time and public holidays observed by the company · Volunteer days · Long term incentive and Employee stock purchase plans or equivalent offerings · Employee wellbeing benefits · Fitness reimbursement · Tuition sponsoring · Professional development plans Benefits vary by region and country Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits unlawful discrimination based on race color religion gender sexual orientation gender identity/expression national origin/ancestry age disability marital and veteran status and any other status or classification protected by applicable federal state and/or local laws.
