Senior Integration Engineer (FHIR/HL7/APIs) Location Remote Employment Type C2C Experience 8–12+ Years Job Summary We are hiring a Senior Integration Engineer with strong expertise in healthcare interoperability technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with HL7 FHIR Java Spring Boot Apache Camel and REST APIs to build scalable integration solutions for EMR/EHR systems. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop healthcare integrations using HL7 v2.x FHIR R4 REST APIs and Apache Camel. - Build scalable integration services using Java Spring Boot and Microservices. - Integrate EMR/EHR platforms HIEs payer systems and third-party healthcare applications. - Troubleshoot production issues and optimize integration performance. - Participate in solution design code reviews and technical discussions. - Mentor junior engineers and support CI/CD and cloud deployments. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare interoperability standards. Required Skills - 8+ years of software engineering experience including 5+ years in healthcare integrations. Strong experience with - HL7 v2.x & FHIR R4 - Java/J2EE & Spring Boot - REST APIs - Apache Camel - Microservices Architecture - Experience integrating EMR/EHR HIE or payer platforms. - Strong debugging and performance optimization skills. Preferred Skills - Experience with Epic Cerner/Oracle Health Allscripts Meditech or Athenahealth. - Cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP). - Docker Kubernetes CI/CD and DevOps. - Team leadership or mentoring experience.
