Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Database Administrator (Cloud DBA) with strong expertise in PostgreSQL Databricks Lakehouse and cloud database modernization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing administering optimizing and modernizing enterprise database platforms across multi-cloud environments. The role requires hands-on experience with cloud-native database services data engineering pipelines automation CI/CD and real-time data processing technologies. Key Responsibilities Design implement administer and optimize PostgreSQL databases across cloud platforms. Lead database modernization initiatives by migrating on-premises databases to cloud-native architectures. Design and implement scalable Databricks Lakehouse solutions using the Medallion Architecture (Bronze Silver Gold). Develop and maintain robust data ingestion and orchestration pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) Databricks Workflows and Apache Airflow. Implement and manage real-time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures. Monitor troubleshoot and optimize database performance availability scalability and disaster recovery. Develop and implement backup recovery replication and high-availability strategies for PostgreSQL databases. Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for database deployments schema changes and infrastructure automation. Collaborate with Data Engineers Cloud Architects DevOps Engineers and Application Development teams to deliver scalable cloud data platforms. Implement database security encryption access control auditing and compliance best practices. Optimize SQL queries indexing strategies and database configurations for maximum performance. Prepare technical documentation operational procedures and architecture diagrams. Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration and performance optimization. Proven experience implementing Databricks Lakehouse solutions and cloud database modernization. Experience with real-time data processing event streaming and enterprise-scale data platforms. Excellent analytical troubleshooting and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
