Role Description This is a volunteer role for a Senior IT Developer specializing in Web Development. The role is remote and open to candidates residing in Germany Czech Republic or Switzerland. The Senior IT Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications ensuring cybersecurity standards are met and managing databases. They will also be involved in programming tasks collaborating with other team members and providing technical support and guidance as needed. Responsibilities : Lead development of NGO’s website and digital outreach platforms. Optimize site performance accessibility and UX for volunteers and beneficiaries. Collaborate closely and report the Vice Director on strategic direction and impact tracking. Optional: Assist with digital tool integrations (e.g. email campaigns CMS volunteer dashboards). Qualifications/Your Superpower: Location: Anywhere in Germany Czech Republic or Switzerland fully remote. Strong web development skills (HTML/CSS/JS backend like Node or Python ideally CMS experience). Passion for social change and volunteer work. Excellent communicator across time zones. Minimum commitment: 1-2 hours/week or project-based milestones. Good to have but not necessary Skills: Information Technology Cybersecurity and Databases. Experience in Software Development and Programming. Proven ability to develop and maintain web applications. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Previous experience in a volunteer role or nonprofit sector is No. 1 plus. Familiarity with Git accessibility standards or NGO tech tools.
