Responsibilities: Position Summary:Applies skills and experience as a seasoned business analytics professional to projects of medium size at all levels of complexity or to portions of large multidimensional projects. The position is responsible for supporting Clinical Care Operations including capacity management transfer center transport services and nurse staffing services through analytics and business insights. Leads initiatives to improve operational efficiency and patient flow with a focus on access throughput and resource optimization. This role is a key member of the team responsible for partnering with leaders across nursing operations patient transport services capacity management and hospital operations. The role will collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to develop data-driven insights and actionable recommendations that enhance coordination capacity utilization and patient experience. The role is responsible for the development and operationalization of dashboards and reporting tools in Epic MS PowerBI Tableau and other BI tools in partnership with the Data and Analytics department. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of business intelligence functions analytics industry standards & best practices Strong interpersonal communications skills and ability to deal effectively with broad and diverse constituencies ensuring strong customer service orientation and skills Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex information assess problems and develop effective solutions Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint etc.) Must possess the skill knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must be detail oriented well organized and able to prioritize and multi-task Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience Able to translate complex data and information and communicate it simply and effectively to constituents. Ability to summarize and present results in clear formats Ability to perform basic performance tuning to optimize queries to meet user needs Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload 1-3 years of experience working with EPIC EHR 1-3 years of experience with SSRS MS PowerBI and Tableau 1-3 years of experience with MS SQL server or Oracle 1-3 years of data analytics experience using relational databases Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree Knowledge of healthcare market government rules and regulations Knowledge of University and medical center organizations policies procedures and forms 1-3 years of experience with SQL Total Compensation We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
