DescriptionPart-Time Salesforce Project Manager → Future Director of Operations About the Opportunity I run a small values-driven Salesforce consulting business and am looking for a Project Manager who will start by overseeing day-to-day projects and over time grow into a core leadership role — taking full ownership of operations. You won’t just be executing tasks — you’ll be shaping the future of this company. You bring clarity where things are messy move quickly but mindfully and thrive in environments where structure is still being built. You don’t just want to do — you want to lead. You want to be part of something with depth and purpose. About the Business I’ve been in the Salesforce space since 2014 and launched my own consulting firm in 2021. We serve long-term clients — primarily solar companies and nonprofits — providing ongoing system strategy admin support and implementation guidance. I currently handle client communication project oversight and operational decisions. My team includes two contract Salesforce Admins (~50 hrs/week combined) and a development partner. The work is abundant but the business has outgrown a single person’s capacity. I care deeply about doing great work in a humane way. That means avoiding burnout focusing on what truly moves projects forward and protecting time outside of work. I’m actively moving toward a 4-day workweek and want to create a culture where efficiency clarity and balance are the norm. Who You Are You’re an experienced Salesforce consultant with goals of moving into a leadership role in operations/strategy. You’re a strategic thinker who’s also comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed to get work done. You move quickly but thoughtfully communicate clearly and bring a mix of discipline practicality and warmth to your work. You’re looking for more than just “another project.” You want to join something with depth and purpose — where your contributions shape the future direction. Your First Chapter (Project Manager Focus) You must be familiar with Salesforce from an admin or implementation perspective. You’ll need to understand how to scope and oversee Salesforce work even if you're not the one building it. Act as point-of-contact for clients: gather requirements document priorities help conceptualize solutions and communicate status updates Translate client needs into clear tasks/requirements for admins work with the admins to define solutions and review their work for quality and accuracy Manage timelines and ensure that projects stay on track Identify potential issues gaps or miscommunications and proactively resolve them Support solution design and process improvements for clients and internal systems Create or refine documentation for repeatable high-quality delivery Where This Role Can Grow Take full ownership of internal systems and operations Lead client relationships directly Develop SOPs and frameworks that define how we work Contribute to brand voice positioning and future service offerings Shape client system strategy proactively not just reactively Potentially move into a full-time Director of Operations or equivalent leadership role Must-Have Experience 2+ years in Salesforce admin project manager or consulting roles (a plus if you’ve been a freelancer and handled your own client projects) Project management or operations experience Clear concise written and verbal communication Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Self-directed and responsive during US Central business hours Skilled at managing multiple priorities across different clients Nice-to-Haves Interest in AI and willingness to experiment with new tools Experience in small business operations or building internal processes Appreciation for intentional work/life design and sustainable business growth Hours & Engagement Start: 5–10 hrs/week Growth Path: Potential to scale to a full-time leadership role Schedule: Flexible hours with async communication plus occasional live calls.
