For Good PH is looking for a creative organized and highly capable Editor & Content Lead to help shape the editorial direction of the publication across print and digital platforms. The role will be responsible for developing story ideas managing the editorial calendar writing and editing articles conducting interviews coordinating contributors and ensuring that all published content reflects the voice quality and positioning of For Good PH.

Key Responsibilities

Editorial Planning Help develop the overall editorial direction and content strategy of For Good PH. Create and maintain editorial calendars for the magazine website and special features. Research and recommend timely relevant and engaging story ideas. Develop themes and content sections for each magazine issue. Identify personalities experts destinations businesses and organizations for potential features and interviews. Coordinate editorial deadlines from story assignment through final publication. Writing & Editing Research and write feature stories interviews profiles guides lifestyle articles and special reports. Conduct interviews with business leaders personalities experts entrepreneurs travelers returning Filipinos expatriates and other relevant subjects. Edit articles submitted by contributors and freelance writers. Review content for grammar accuracy structure tone readability and consistency. Fact-check information before publication. Write headlines introductions captions pull quotes and other editorial elements. Ensure that stories maintain a consistent For Good PH editorial voice. Print Magazine Production Work closely with the layout artist and graphic designer during magazine production. Determine story placement article hierarchy page allocation and editorial flow. Review proofs before final printing. Coordinate photos captions credits and supporting materials. Ensure editorial materials are complete and submitted according to production deadlines. Digital Content Adapt print stories for the For Good PH website and digital platforms. Develop online-exclusive stories and timely digital content. Work with the digital/social media team to convert major stories into social media content. Recommend articles and topics that can increase website traffic and audience engagement. Apply basic SEO principles to digital articles when appropriate. Contributors & Interviews Coordinate freelance writers photographers contributors and subject-matter experts. Prepare interview questions and conduct editorial interviews. Brief contributors regarding story angles word counts deadlines and editorial standards. Review and revise contributor submissions before publication. Branded & Partner Content Work with the Advertising Sales Executive on sponsored features advertorials and partner content. Develop branded stories that meet client objectives while maintaining editorial quality. Ensure a clear distinction between independent editorial content and sponsored content. Coordinate interviews and content requirements involving advertisers and partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Journalism Communication English Creative Writing Marketing Media Studies or a related field preferred. Strong English writing editing grammar and proofreading skills. Excellent research and interviewing ability. Strong storytelling instincts and ability to identify compelling story angles. Comfortable writing both long-form features and shorter digital content. Highly organized and capable of managing multiple stories and deadlines simultaneously. Familiarity with digital publishing social media and content management systems is an advantage. Basic understanding of SEO is an advantage. Interest in travel lifestyle business property healthcare retirement migration food culture and Philippine destinations is preferred. Experience 1–3 years of writing journalism editorial publishing communications or content experience preferred. Exceptional fresh graduates may be considered if they have strong writing samples and experience with a university publication internship website magazine or similar editorial work.
