We are looking for an Education & Operations Project Assistant to work with Sky Education remotely on a 3-month independent contractor engagement. Your main focus will be reviewing and improving our existing ByteQuest curriculum and lesson materials. You will look at our content from an educator's perspective and help us identify ways to make lessons clearer more engaging age-appropriate and effective for students. You will also help with general operational tasks as they arise. As a small team we work across different areas of the business so this is a good opportunity to gain practical exposure to how an early-stage education technology company operates. This is a flexible remote engagement. There are no fixed daily working hours and you will generally be free to organise your own time around agreed tasks deliverables and deadlines. Review existing ByteQuest lessons and curriculum materials. Recommend improvements to lesson structure explanations activities and assessments. Help ensure learning materials are engaging age-appropriate and practical. Provide feedback from an educator's and student's perspective. Research teaching approaches curriculum frameworks and developments in education technology. Suggest ideas for new lessons activities and learning experiences. Help incorporate feedback into our learning materials. Assist with general operational research and administrative tasks when required. Where relevant contribute to other short-term projects across Sky Education.
A background or strong interest in Education Teaching Curriculum Design Instructional Design or Educational Technology. An understanding of how students learn and how educational materials can be made more effective. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide clear thoughtful and constructive feedback. Good organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage your own time. Comfortable using digital tools and learning new technology. Familiarity with ICT AI coding or computer science education is an advantage. Current enrolment in or completion of a degree in Education Instructional Design Educational Technology or a related discipline is preferred. Fluency in English.
