This position will be fully remote within the United States. Responsibilities We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with government contracting experience. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience a strong understanding of Amazon Webservices (AWS) Jira and X-Ray is a plus. Develop publish and implement test plans for complex multi-tier distributed applications throughout the full lifecycle. Develop manual or automated testing systems using commercial tools scripts and data set. Participates in all aspects of testing including functional regression load and system testing. Assures the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects by working with developers and/or engineers to ensure the software or hardware development process has an appropriate level of testing. Develops response strategies and processes for high-criticality and security vulnerability related bug notifications. Pro-actively investigates and finds potential security holes and attack vectors within both the existing and newly developed code base. Agile/Scrum Methodologies: Working in iterative development cycles with cross-functional teams. Communicate effectively with federal clients developers and program managers. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field. 5-8 years of experience in IT 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education Experience with Jira X-ray AWS Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies specifically Kanban.
